Tucker and I meandered through a section of the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge. Trees are beginning to leaf out and grasses are starting to send up some new growth.
April weather can be spectacular. Cool foggy mornings give rise to bright sunny afternoons. The absence of foliage on the trees allows for stark contrasts and less impeded views. No bugs. And few if any hikers.
Tucker and I enjoyed a hike down one of my favorite trails in the Dolly Sods Wilderness.
